The work generally consists of tree removal on the property of Perry County-Ed Newlon Field and on adjacent parcels of land. Trees equal to, or greater than, 3 inches in diameter at breast height (dbh) may only be removed after October 1, 2026 and before March 31, 2027. All work must be completed by April 30, 2027. Contractors and subcontractors must be enrolled and in good standing in an Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Drug-Free Workplace Program or equivalent. Wage rates paid to employees must not be less than the prevailing rate of wages as prescribed in Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code. The project is funded by the Ohio Department of Transportation, Office of Aviation, and all contracts and work are subject to their review and approval. Bids must be on prescribed forms furnished with the Specifications; proposals submitted on forms not furnished by GA CONSULTANTS will be considered irregular and not accepted. Each bid must include a security: either a bond equal to not less than 100% of the bid, or a certified check equal to not less than 10% of the bid. The successful bidder will be subject to liquidated damages of $700.00 per calendar day for failure to complete work within the specified period. The Perry County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids.
