Site work and new construction of a power facility in Hamilton, Ohio. Completed plans call for the construction of a power facility.

Please note that the deadline for questions has been extended until 2/19/2026 at 2:00 PM. The project involves the design and installation of a new fire suppression system for a gas turbine generator. All necessary permits, labor, material, and services required for this work are to be furnished. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates). This is an Ohio Prevailing Wage project. Electronic bids must be submitted through Bid Express and electronically endorsed by the bidder. Registration with Bid Express is required for reviewing, downloading, and printing contract documents. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on site. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct necessary investigations to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder(s). No bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty days after the bid opening. A. New fire suppression system shall be designed to provide sufficient CO2 to meet or exceed the minimum specifications for the area of the turbine generator as well as the control room and provide extended release for those areas. Calculated CO2 quantity is as follows: (38) 100lb tanks total, (23) tanks for initial release, (15) tanks for extended coverage. Contractor to verify and notify the City of Hamilton if findings differ. B. Contractor to supply the design, drawings, submittals, system equipment, mechanical piping (reuse existing where applicable) for the initial and extended discharge, add to the existing headers for the additional tanks, installation, testing, checkout and end user training for the installation of (1) High Pressure Carbon Dioxide Fire Suppression System. This system shall be installed at the site address referenced above and will be completed per the manufacturers' requirements, NPFA 12, and with the approval of the City of Hamilton as well as the City's insurance provider. C. Contractor to disassemble and remove all unnecessary components of the existing CO2 fire suppression system, including any supports or structures not being used in the new design. Any components that can be reused should be. D. All mechanical components for a fire suppression system shall be provided by Contractor. Provide all necessary equipment or special handling devices for dismantling the old system and installation of the new system. This includes any interconnecting piping, ducts, bolts, nuts, expansion joints, gaskets, pipe hangers, or other items required for connections between Contractor supplied equipment and GT2. E. Contractor shall verify that the CO2 fire suppression system can receive a signal to release from our existing automatic detection and operation control panel. Contractor will only provide the mechanical system components for fire suppression. All current controls and electrical components will remain in use.
