Construction work to increase the pumping capacity of its sanitary network: new interception station and upgrades to the Quai station. TIMELINE: Contract for engineering services to complete design and monitor construction work has been awarded following request for proposals # 401-200-21986. Reference number: 20120854. Schedules: Preliminary studies – summer/fall, 2026. Design, plans, and specifications – December, 2026. Tendering process for construction work – winter, 2027. Construction work – summer/fall, 2027. Further update in fall, 2026. The consultants have determined a few options of project development. The highly suggested one by the consultants is Option 1B: Construction of a new pumping station, interception of sanitary discharges from the pipe descending along the Port road, addition of a discharge pipe (approximately 640 meters) connecting to the existing one just before the treatment station, upgrading and refurbishment of the Quai station.
