The City of Bowling Green, KY is soliciting bids for the construction of a single-lane roundabout to replace the existing 4-way intersection, which is currently a three-way stop. This intersection provides access to Whispering Hills, Deer Park Estates, Preston Miller Park/Russell Sims Aquatic Center, among other connecting neighborhoods. Work will include minor roadway realignment, pavement widening, and construction of the roundabout with a decorative truck apron, drainage improvements, and installation of additional street lighting. The project is intended to improve traffic flow and safety at this location. All work shall be completed in accordance with applicable City standards and specifications, with the intent of maintaining phased traffic through the project limits during construction and achieving Substantial Completion with the roundabout and roadway fully open to unrestricted public traffic prior to the opening of the Russell Sims Aquatic Center on May 25, 2026. The Substantial Completion and Final Completion dates stated herein are contract milestones. Sealed bids are invited for intersection improvements. Bids must be submitted to the Procurement Manager's Office, City Hall Annex, 1017 College Street, Bowling Green, Kentucky, by 10:00 a.m. CT on the specified date. Bids submitted after this time or to a different location will not be considered. Bids must be placed in a clearly marked sealed envelope that includes the bid number and description. The shipping envelope must also clearly display the bid number. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and will award the bid based on the lowest bid price. All bid forms, information, and specifications are available on the City's website. Bidders are invited to attend the virtual opening of the bids.
