Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, parts, materials, supplies, travel, and incidentals necessary to install in the existing closed-loop standalone access control system with six-(6) lanes turnstile system designed to efficiently manage pedestrian traffic flow by providing three-(3) lanes on each side of the lobby security console to the high-rise and low-rise elevator vestibules and two-(2) automated gate barrier arms, one-(1) at the garage entrance and one-(1) at the garage exit ramp with intercom system and installation services to Caltrans District 4 Office. Turnstile System 1) Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, parts, materials, and supplies to install a six (6)-lanes turnstile system designed to efficiently manage pedestrian traffic flow by providing three (3) lanes on each side of the lobby security console to the high-rise and low-rise elevator vestibules, power supplies, electrified hardware, and cable to support the installation. 2) Contractor shall provide installation, coordination, equipment configuration, basic programming, system interface, system test, and warranty. 3) The access control system must be compatible and connected to existing closedlooped standalone S2 Security Access Control System. 4) Contractor shall adhere to the State Fire Marshal-approved plans (Attachment A, Plans) and permit, including all specified parts and components, unless an equivalent product is proposed. In such cases, Contractor is responsible for preparing revised project plans and obtaining approval and a permit from the State Fire Marshal prior to commencing work, all at Contractor's own expense. 5) Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating with the State Fire Marshal for all required inspections during and after construction and shall address any corrections necessary to obtain final approval and signature. The work is not considered complete until the State Fire Marshal has approved the installation, signed off on the final plans, and confirmed that the system, including access control integration, is fully operational. 6) The turnstiles shall have one (1) lane on each side of the lobby security console to the high-rise and low-rise elevator vestibules that meet ADA requirements. 7) The turnstiles system shall have an activities management software similar or equivalent to Alvarado Gatekeeper and shall be able to provide the following: a. Event Scheduling that includes an automated configuration scheduler that allows the facility to automatically implement turnstile configuration changes based on date and time to provide the ability to automatically change turnstile operational modes and lock down turnstiles as minimum requirements. b. Visual notification of turnstile status with notification of alarm conditions to the lobby security console and remote access. c. Immediate implementation of operational mode changes to individual or all turnstiles. d. Simple method to implement user and visitor passage overrides. e. A historic database of turnstile activity. B. Automated Gate Barrier Arms 1) Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, parts, materials, and supplies to furnish and install two (2) automated gate barrier arms, one (1) each at the garage entrance and exit ramp in accordance with the prevailing commercial industry standards. 2) Contractor shall provide installation, coordination, equipment configuration, basic programming, system interface, system test, and warranty in accordance with the following: a. The entrance lane will each consist of; a FULL sign and pedestal, a Magnetic Automation Card Reader Direct Drive barrier gate that will automatically raise when a vehicle displays a proximity card and approaches the gate arm. b. The installed system shall be able to be adapted to an automatic entry system that will raise the gate when a vehicle approaches. c. The exit lanes shall each consist of; a Magnetic Automation Card Reader Direct Drive barrier gate that will raise when a vehicle displays a proximity card and approaches the gate arm. d. The system shall include a two-way intercom system for communication between each gate arm and the lobby security console. e. Installation shall include mounting, wiring AC power and control lines, connecting surge suppressors, installing control panel, setting up, programming system parameters as necessary, and testing complete system. Installation shall also include cutting pavement and installing two (2) vehicle detection loops. f. All cables shall be in conduit and with penetration fire sealed and cables with fire sleeves. g. The two (2) access card readers shall be compatible and connected to the existing closed-looped standalone S2 Security Access Control System.
