The District invites submittal of proposals from qualified contractors for on-call services for Roberts Island Dredge Placement Site Preparation. The District intends to engage in a three-year contract with two one-year extension options. Dredged material from the Port of Stockton’s docks and the Stockton Deep Water Ship Channel is placed at the Roberts Island Dredged Material Placement Site (DMPS) each year. The Port also accepts dredged sediment from other regional projects, provided the material meets quality standards established by the Regional Water Quality Control Board. Throughout the year, the Port excavates sediment from the site for beneficial reuse, such as levee maintenance and construction. To maintain the site’s readiness for placement activities, the Port routinely discs and removes vegetation within the DMPS. Dredging typically occurs between July 1 and November 30 annually. The Port is currently seeking a contractor to perform this maintenance work twice annually over the duration of this three-year contract.
