The project is expected to be awarded on May 12, 2026.** Eight Mile Road Resurfacing - (North 99 Frontage Road East to Jack Tone Road) Base Estimate Range Between $2,631,300 and $3,183,400 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Questions submitted less than 72 hours in advance of bid opening may not receive a response. The work is located in Stockton. The work, in general, consists of repairing and resurfacing approximately 5.8 miles of existing roadway with asphalt concrete. A bid security of 10% is required from all bidders. The bid security must be in the form of cash, certified or cashier's check, electronic bond (eBond), or a bid bond in favor of the Department. Bid Security other than electronic bond must be received by the Department prior to the bid opening closing time specified above. A payment bond and a performance bond each 100% of the value of the contract are required from the successful bidder. Bidders are advised that the County of San Joaquin is not implementing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements. There is no DBE Contract goal. This contract is subject to State contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990. The contractor, sub-recipient, or subcontractor must comply with federal nondiscrimination requirements pursuant to Section 49 CFR 26. Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and further reserves the right to waive minor irregularities in the bids.
