Renovation of a laboratory facility in Upper Saucon Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 115,563-square-foot, three-story above grade laboratory facility.

Creating a Maker Space and Engineering Lab from renovations in the Main Building, on the Lehigh Valley Campus of Pennsylvania State University, consists of the following 1. This project includes the demolition of a Security Office, and former Classroomspace to create a new Engineering Lab, and Maker Space in the current Loading Dock space on the Lehigh Valley Campus of Pennsylvania State University, as shown in the Contract Documents. It also includes renovations of portions of the existing building associated with the renovation of the spaces. The Building will remain occupied through the project which is scheduled to occur at a date to be determined by PSU. Below is a list of various scope of work items that must be included as part of the bid. a. Workshall consist of the demolition and renovation associated with the engineering lab renovation in rooms #107, 126, 126A, 126B, and #128 in the Main existing building on the Lehigh Valley Campus of Pennsylvania State University. 1) Contractors and sub-contractors will have use of the loading dock, as long as Contractor provides proper protection of all surfaces that may be damaged by demolition and construction operations. A. This work shall be done in strict accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by Spillman Farmer Architects for The Pennsylvania State University, Owner. B. All construction shown on the contract drawings and not expressly mentioned in the specifications and all work specified and not shown on the drawings, but obviously necessary to the proper execution of same, shall be performed by the Contractor, as it is not the intent to delineate or describe every detail and feature of work. No additions to the contract sum will be approved for any materials, equipment, and/or labor to perform work hereunder unless it can be clearly shown to be beyond the scope and intent of the drawings and specifications and absolutely essential to the proper prosecution of the work. C. Work under this contract consists of the complete construction work and includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, material, tools, and equipment necessary to complete all the work as shown on the contract drawings and as specified hereinafter. DBE combined utilization goal is 15% minimum. Question Deadline 02/27/2026 The Bidder shall submit all questions, clarifications, bid document discrepancies or omissions via Online. Inquiries shall be answered in the form of an Addendum. To receive attention, inquiries must be submitted not later than Noon, Ten (10) days prior to the Bid Date. Renovate approximately 2,800 SF of interior space. The project will remove interior demising walls and create two separate spaces for the engineering lab. The scope includes interior finish upgrades and MEP reconfiguration for new layout. Pre-qualification requirements Prime contractor must be PSU prequalified in General Construction.
