Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Mishawaka, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of utility extensions from the Veterans Parkway Roundabout (0.57 miles south of Cleveland Road) to Cleveland Road. Extensions will include sanitary sewer (up to 15 inches), water main (up to 20 inches), and conduits. In addition to utility extensions, a utility service road will be constructed within the future Veterans Parkway corridor and a box culvert crossing a tributary of Juday Creek, in addition to other pertinent work as described in the project documents. Instructions to bidders require that bids be submitted with a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. Contractors awarded the contract must furnish a separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 125% of the contract price, prior to starting work. These bonds must remain effective throughout construction, and a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 10% for three years from final completion is also required. Bidders must complete all documents listed in the Checklist for Bidders, as well as the provided Bid Form. The substantial and final completion dates are specified in the project documents. The awarding body retains the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities, and to make an award in the City's best interest. No bid or security may be withdrawn for at least sixty (60) days after the bid closing time. Pre-qualification requirements: The General Contractor shall be prequalified by INDOT to perform a minimum of one (1) work type applicable to this project.
