Modernization of science classrooms at Sonora High School. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids on forms provided and ensure compliance with all project documents. All bids must include a ten percent (10%) bid security by bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check. A 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond are required from the successful bidder. This is a public works project and requires registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and payment of prevailing wages. There will be a mandatory job walk at the project location. Bidders must possess contractor’s license B, which must remain active and in good standing throughout the contract. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based only on the base bid. Pre-qualification requirements: All prime contractors and subcontractors holding the following licenses must be prequalified with the District regardless of the contract value: Prime Contractor - B, Sub Contractors - C-7, C-10, C-20, C-36. A fully completed and sealed Prequalification Questionnaire must be submitted to the District at the designated location and time.
