Reference Number 0000409867 Question Deadline 02/13/2026 at 12:00 PM CT All questions related to this proposal must be submitted online through BidNet Direct The Village of Orland Park is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to provide labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to repair and restore existing outdoor tennis and basketball courts located within Village park facilities. Work may include, but is not limited to, crack repair, asphalt repair or replacement, surface leveling, resurfacing, line striping, fencing and gate repairs, and replacement of court hardware such as tennis posts, nets, basketball posts, rims, and backboards. The work to be performed by the successful proposer shall be complete on or before November 1, 2026. Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 10 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % Work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Site Inspection and Coordination o Conduct a comprehensive inspection of each outdoor court, surrounding fencing, and court hardware to identify surface cracking, asphalt failure, depressions, drainage issues, edge deterioration, fence damage, footing movement, and hardware deficiencies. o Coordinate work to minimize disruption to park users and protect adjacent turf, fencing, lighting, sidewalks, and site amenities. 2. Surface Preparation o Remove all dirt, debris, vegetation, and loose material from court surfaces, joints, and edges. o Pressure wash or mechanically clean surfaces as required to ensure proper bonding of repair materials. 3. Crack Repair o All cracks shall be routed, cleaned, and filled using an approved crack repair system designed for outdoor athletic courts and freeze-thaw conditions. o Structural, working, or recurring cracks shall receive fabric reinforcement, membrane systems, or equivalent treatments to reduce reflective cracking. o Surface coating or sealant alone shall not be accepted as an acceptable crack repair method. 4. Asphalt Repair and Replacement o Areas exhibiting raveling, alligator cracking, settlement, base failure, or edge deterioration shall be saw-cut and removed as necessary. o Repairs shall include partial-depth or full-depth asphalt replacement where underlying failures exist. o New asphalt shall be properly placed, compacted, and graded to ensure smooth transitions and positive drainage. o Any asphalt area that cannot be effectively corrected through patching shall be fully replaced to achieve a stable, long-term repair. Tennis Court Hardware: o Tennis net posts shall be Douglas Tennis DTP-37 round steel net posts, or approved equal. o Tennis nets shall be Douglas Tennis TN-30 nets with center strap, or approved equal. o Replace center straps, bands, anchors, and related components as required. Basketball Court Hardware: o Replace basketball posts, rims, nets, backboards, mounting brackets, and anchoring hardware as required. o Hardware exhibiting excessive corrosion, structural damage, looseness, or instability shall be removed and replaced rather than repaired. o Posts or hardware with failed, cracked, heaved, or inadequate concrete footings or anchorage shall be removed and reset with new concrete footings meeting applicable depth and stability requirements. o All replacement hardware shall be new, commercially manufactured for outdoor public park use and designed for exposure to weather and high-use conditions. o Installation shall be plumb, level, securely anchored, and completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable athletic standards. o Cosmetic repairs or temporary fixes will not be accepted where replacement is required to ensure safety and long-term performance.
