Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Arcadia, Oklahoma. Completed plans call civil work for a wastewater treatment plant.
The City of Edmond reports approximately 70% of the underground concrete has been placed for the new high lift pump station that will pump treated water to the city residents and businesses. The granular activated carbon (GAC) filter building slab pours are being completed, and the walls are being formed. The GAC filters will reduce the potential for disinfection byproducts when chlorine is added to the water. Major upgrade and expansion of the city’s primary water treatment facility, including new ozone treatment, granular activated carbon (GAC) filtration, and a new intake structure to increase capacity. As of February 6, 2026, under construction for final phase. The final phase(s) will include ozone treatment facilities, lime softening processes, filtration, and chemical storage for treatment processes. Completion expected December 2026.
