Sealed bids are invited for the supply and delivery of two galvanized steel beam bridge superstructures and related materials for Hawley Road Bridges No. 0185 and No. 0279 in Huntington Township. Structure 0185 requires a 17 ft-6 inch overall length with a 22 ft roadway width, while Structure 0279 requires a 16 ft-6 inch overall length with a 24 ft roadway width. Each structure must include detailed plans and load ratings signed and sealed by a registered professional engineer licensed in Ohio. All materials must meet Ohio Department of Transportation specifications. Contractors must use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor as much as practicable and comply with equal employment opportunity requirements per Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123. Bidders must be listed on the ODOT pre-qualified list for bridge construction level 2. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, and bid security must be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in Ohio. Each bid must state the full name of all persons and companies submitting the bid and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked accordingly. A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required for each set of documents. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities if deemed in the best interest of Lorain County. Requests for interpretation, correction, or modification to specifications must be submitted via email to the Deputy Engineer at least four working days prior to the bid opening.
