The scope of work for this project consists of pavement maintenance and rehabilitation along the streets shown in the Plans. This Work is generally comprised of the following features: microsurfacing, slurry seal, crack sealing, installation of traffic signs, and removal and reinstallation of pavement striping, markers, and markings. The Work also includes mobilization/demobilization, traffic control, permitting and agency coordination, and other incidentals necessary for complete and usable street facilities. The project limits encompass various streets in the City of Marina and are detailed in the Plans and Specifications. Doc Note - Hard copies of bidding documents can be obtained by calling (831) 884-1205, for a nonrefundable sum of $220.00 for each set of Plans and Specifications. An additional postage charge of $5.00 for mailing. To download project documents, you must request a copy by emailing the City at "bids@cityofmarina.org". Potential bidders, subcontractors and suppliers are responsible for reviewing the complete bidding documents, including all addenda, prior to submitting their bid. Bid proposals will be opened and read by the City Engineer or designee. Proposals will be read aloud at the time of the opening of bids and bids become public records. Time for Completion - All work under this contract shall be completed before the expiration ninety (90) working days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages amount per working day shall be as specified in the Special Provisions. All Federal holidays and City holidays observed during construction shall not be included on the construction timeline specified. Time extension for weather and City delays will be granted accordingly. At the time of the bid opening, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a Class A Contractor's license. Any Bidder or contractor not so licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law including, but not limited to, any appropriate disciplinary action by the Contractors' State License Board. The Engineer's Estimated total construction cost for this Project is between $3,000,000 to $4,200,000. *This project is being bid by invitation only.
