The City of Orinda is seeking a professional consultant team to provide engineering services to update the City of Orinda Bicycle, Trails & Walkways Master Plan. The city's existing bicycle network consists of paths (class 1), bicycle lanes (class ii), and bicycle routes (class iii - sharrows) that are mainly along principal arterials, camino pablo and moraga way and minor arterials such as glorietta boulevard. Some walkways and bicycle facilities exist at the south city limits, where there is a concentration of three schools, del rey elementary, orinda intermediate school, and miramonte high school. There are gaps in some areas with walkways, and no separate bicycle facilities exist except for on moraga way. Trail considerations would include locations such as the de laveaga trail, ebmud trail at wagner ranch, st. Stephen's pedestrian and bicycle trail, and public trails in wilder. RFI deadline (Questions Due) 2/26/2026 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Request for Proposal for design services is underway. The City reserves the right to request changes to the staffing and/or scope of services contained in any of the technical proposals and to enter into negotiations with any of the firm(s) regarding their submittal.
