GENERAL Keys Energy Services (KEYS) is a municipal electric utility supplying power to residents of the lower Florida Keys. KEYS is located in the extreme southern tip of peninsular Florida, situated in Monroe County, Florida, primarily what is considered the "Lower Keys", which extends eastwardly from Key West to the west end of the Seven-Mile Bridge. Corporate Offices are located at 1001 James Street, Key West, Florida and the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Facility is located on Stock Island at 6900 Front Street Extended, Key West, Florida 33040. KEYS and its representatives have exercised due care in preparing this Request for Proposals (RFP). All information contained herein is believed to be substantially correct. However, bidders should verify information independently if desired. KEYS and its representatives do not warrant the accuracy of information contained herein. SPECIFICATIONS Provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, supplies, tools, and incidentals necessary for the renovation of a men's locker room facility and two bathrooms at the Ralph Garcia Steam Plant (RGSP), located at 6900 Front Street Extended, Key West, FL 33040. Bender & Associates has provided the Construction Documents that can be found as Attachment 1. The Contractor shall fully adhere to the construction plans unless otherwise approved by KEYS and Bender & Associates. The intent of this solicitation is to provide updated facilities. RGSP will remain an active and staffed facility during the renovations. Therefore, at least 1 shower and 2 toilets within the building are to always remain available. There is a half bath located on the 3 rd floor of the building that will not be renovated but may be considered for toilet availability.
