Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Simi Valley, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a communication facility.
The work consists of the construction and installation of a new owner-furnished communications tower and associated foundations, installation of an owner-furnished prefabricated radio equipment building, and installation of an owner-furnished emergency generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS) to provide backup power to the facility. The work includes all necessary structural work, electrical work, trenching, grounding, and site restoration, as indicated on the approved plans and described in the contract documents. The contractor's contract price must cover all labor, tools, materials, incidentals, equipment, supervision, management, administration, testing, and all other services and items necessary to complete the work. All work must be completed within 60 working days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted on the proposal form provided, with a bid guarantee of at least 10% of the total bid amount. The bid guarantee can be a bid bond, cashier's check, certified check, or cash. Bidders must hold a Class B California Contractor's license and provide performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract price. Prevailing wage requirements apply, and all contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations prior to bidding. Liquidated damages for delay are set at $1,200 per calendar day. Bid documents are available electronically and for purchase in hard copy. Only the information transmitted via addendum or official clarification will modify the plans and specifications. Bid documents must be arranged and paid directly through the designated reprographics vendor. Bids will only be accepted if all instructions and requirements outlined are followed.
