North Water Treatment Facility-Isolation Of Existing Raw And Finished Water Lines The work consists generally of isolation and/or disconnection of existing finished and raw water lines that currently connect to the City's existing North Water Treatment Facility so that no physical connection of this facility will exist to the City's existing water distribution system. This includes the excavation of existing lines, installation of insertion valves as required, piping, fittings, demolition and/or removal of existing piping, blocking, restoration, and all necessary and appurtenant work required to complete the described work. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Millington, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, must be submitted with each bid. A minimum of three copies of the bid response is required, one original and two copies. Any bidder may withdraw their proposal in writing prior to the time set for opening. Bids accepted and read will remain effective for sixty days after the opening. The City of Millington reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part or accept the lowest bid per location as it judges in the best interest of the City.
