Work includes providing necessary labor, equipment, and materials for the West Campus Infrastructure. The scope includes: providing chilled water line extension (supply and return) from Building P; providing steam and condensate piping from existing tunnel across new link connection to the Canning Center; selective demolition and construction renovation in Building K, including toilet room renovations; providing a new link between Building K and the Canning Student Center; and providing for a new radio antenna and associated work. Lump sum bid proposals for the following bid packages will be received: 01 – General Trades, 02 – Building Concrete, 03 – Glazing, 04 – HVAC, 05 – Electrical, 06 – Site Work. All bids are to be submitted sealed and include a bid bond equal to 10% of the aggregate of the Base Bid amount and all Alternate Bid amounts. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety days after submission without the consent of the Board of Trustees. Bidders must comply with applicable Illinois laws regarding prevailing wages, equal employment opportunity laws, and the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. Bidders must also comply with the Business Enterprise Program: Participation and Utilization Plan as developed by Harper College, with specific aspirational goals for each bid package. Bidding documents are available upon deposit, and questions must be submitted in writing via email as specified. Harper College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, waive irregularities or informalities, and award the contract in the College’s best interest.
