Work for which proposals are to be received is for Apron Rehabilitation at the Madison County Airport, including asphalt milling, crack repairs, asphalt paving, pavement markings, and necessary incidentals to complete the work as detailed on the Contract Drawings and specified in the Contract Documents titled Apron Rehabilitation. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and material necessary to complete the work. Only contractors and proposed subcontractors with a Certification of Prequalification from the Indiana Department of Transportation are eligible. Bidders are required to be a plan holder of record having obtained the contract documents through the office of the Engineer. Bids must be properly executed and addressed to the specified address, accompanied by all required documents. No bidder may withdraw a proposal within sixty days after the bid date. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any/all bids. A bid bond or certified check equal to five percent of the total bid is required. Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required. Each bid shall be accompanied by a financial statement, a statement of experience, a proposed plan for the work, and a list of available equipment. Wage rates must comply with current Prevailing Wage Rates for Ohio. The Owner may waive informalities and award to the bidder most advantageous to them or reject all bids.
