Separate sealed bids are requested for Contract No. 1 – General Construction at Accompsett Middle School, under 2021 Bond Phase 3 (BID#25/26-18). Bids must be submitted using the standard proposal form, sealed in an opaque envelope clearly marked with the bidder's name and address, contract name and number, and bid opening date. Each bid must include security in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid and all alternate bids, in the proper form as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or rejected within 45 days of proposal opening, with the School District reserving the right to waive informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, or reject all proposals in the District’s best interest. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within 45 days of the opening except as allowed by law. Digital and hard copies of contract documents are available for a fee or deposit, and a pre-bid conference and walk-through is scheduled and recommended for prospective bidders. Bid addenda will be sent to registered plan holders electronically.
