The funding source for this project is WATER REVENUE. The City has established a 10% participation goal for emerging business participation. The Federal government has established a combined participation goal of 12% for Women Business Enterprises and Minority Business Enterprises. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, insurance, equipment, materials and power for the complete performance of the following project, Filter Underdrain Replacement - Ph 4 as follows: General construction and mechanical work to demolish the existing underdrains and install new underdrain systems in Filtration Plant Filters 1 and 3, with Alternates for Filters 4 and 18. installation of associated low pressure air piping and acid wash system piping including control valves and instrumentation are also included in this project. No Bid will be accepted from, or contract awarded to any person, firm, or corporation that is in arrears to the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana, upon any debt or contract, or, who has failed to execute, in whole or in part in a satisfactory manner, any contract with the City; or, who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, upon any obligation to the City, or is engaged in litigation with the City. No Bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after the scheduled time for receipt of Bids so as to allow review of Bids before announcing award of Contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount no less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids for failure to comply with applicable laws and/or with the Instructions to Bidders. The Board also reserves the right to waive any defect in any bid.
