The contractor shall be required to furnish all supervision, equipment, labor, and material necessary to install, repair, replace, and/or maintain commercial, pedestrian/passage doors, fencing, sliding and swing gates, turnstiles, electric and manual overhead roll-up doors, motor controllers, gate operators, door components and wiring at various Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) locations. Instructions to bidders: - Submit a sealed bid for the specified work. - All questions must be submitted via ProcureWare by the stated deadline. - Bids must be received via ProcureWare by the specified due date. - Adhere to all requirements and standards outlined in the detailed scope of work, specification, and supporting documentation. - Meet the requirements in the insurance specification and provide evidence of coverage naming PGW and the PFMC as additional insured. - Complete and return the Bidder’s Certification Form with your company’s corporate seal. - All subcontractors must be approved by PGW. - Utilize a labor force that will not lead to any work stoppages or other labor disturbances. - Include current certification if a certified minority, woman, veteran, or disabled owned business. - Ensure all required documents included in the RFQ are completed and submitted with the bid response, as missing or incomplete documents will result in being deemed non-responsive. - Obtain and pay for all required permits. - Contractors and their employees are to engage only in activities directly related to the scope of work; non-job related activities are not permitted. - Complete the attached questionnaire and financial statement for qualifying vendors or contractors’ qualification questionnaire if applicable. - The successful contractor is responsible for proper installation and working of everything under the contract and shall guarantee remedy, free of charge, any defects in workmanship and materials for 12 months from final acceptance. - This project is covered by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, 43 P.S. § 165-1 et seq.
