Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Brattleboro, Vermont. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Town of Brattleboro Planning Services Department intends to revise the flood hazard information along the Whetstone Brook, generally located between Elliot Street and Crosby Street. The revision covers the area from approximately 230 feet upstream of Elliot Street to approximately 140 feet downstream of the western-most Williams Street crossing over Whetstone Brook. This is related to the construction of the Whetstone Brook Floodplain Restoration Project at 250 Birge Street, now known as Kikitta Ahki. The revision will cause the floodway to widen and narrow, the 1% annual chance water-surface elevations to increase and decrease, and the 1% annual chance floodplain to widen and narrow within the area of revision. Maps detailing the revisions can be reviewed at the Brattleboro Municipal Offices. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
