This project consists of a major renovation and reimagining of the MU West Commons Dining Room to a multi-use space to increase student use and activities beyond typical mealtimes. This space is envisioned as a core student gathering space in the MU and will allow students to continue to meet and utilize the MU during the closure of the Main Lounge in future phases of work. This project also includes finish upgrades throughout the mezzanine corridors and the Trysting Tree Lounge as well as complete HVAC, electrical and light upgrades in the West Wing commons, lanes & games, mezzanine, and Trysting Tree area. Work not included in the West Commons are any areas associated with the food vendor spaces. All materials used in the project, should be readily available and maintainable by MU Facility's Staff.
