Renovation of a restaurant in Dunkirk, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a restaurant.
Overhang Roof Replacements: Replacement of the existing overhang roofs with commercial-grade roofing materials designed for durability and weather resistance. Includes prep work to tarp and protect shrubs, inspection and re-nailing of all sheathing as needed, replacement of sheathing rot using high-quality CDX 4 plywood as required, removal of existing flat roof layers, detachment and resetting of the metal, and installation of the new flat roof system including GAF Liberty Base Sheet and Cap Sheet. All debris must be cleaned and removed upon completion. Includes GAF Manufacture warranty and a two-year workmanship warranty for the repaired area. All work must comply with local building codes, fire safety standards, and ensure asbestos-containing materials are handled and disposed of according to NYS Department of Labor requirements and local regulations. A final inspection is required to certify structural soundness and safety compliance. New HVAC System Installation: Removal of the existing A/C system, old unit heater, and ducts. Installation of new air handler and ducted heat, reconnection of supply and return air ducts, gas, electric, flue vent, and drain. Outdoor condensing unit installation and connection to the indoor unit using an insulated copper line set. New disconnect installation and electrical connections for the new unit. Replacement and redirection of one 8” supply from floor to ceiling and closure of the old A/C unit opening with plywood. Full start-up and operation test of the new system. Includes a one-year parts and labor warranty and a five-year compressor warranty on Trane equipment. Work must comply with all relevant codes, including environmental and energy performance codes. All work must be performed by licensed professionals in accordance with local building codes and regulations. Vendors must provide references, proof of appropriate insurance (minimum $1 million general liability and workers' compensation), and list the City of Dunkirk, the State of New York, and the Housing Trust Fund Corporation as additional insured. Within 60 days of selection, the property/business owner will contract with the lowest responsible vendor. If a quote other than the lowest is chosen, reimbursement will be based on the lowest bid or proposal.
