Bids shall be submitted for a single contract that will include the following: The work located in Building T will include the replacement of an existing cooling split system including indoor fan and roof mounted condensing unit, associated roofing and associated electrical serving the new units. The work located in Blue Island will include the demolition of an existing Roof Top Unit and roof curb and the installation of a new Roof Top Unit, new roof curb, associated roofing work and associated electrical serving the new unit. The selected prime contractor must self-perform at least fifty (50%) percent of the project work. Bids for all work will be received until 11:00 a.m. local time on Friday February 27, 2026. Bids are to be dropped off at Moraine Valley Community College Building L Room L-187. Electronic or faxed bids will not be accepted. Representatives of all bidding firms are required to attend the mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting at both project locations. Bids shall be submitted in duplicate on forms issued by the Architect. Bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The contract calls for the construction of a "public work" within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, and all contractors and subcontractors must comply with all requirements of the Act, including wage, notice, and record keeping duties. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of bids without written consent of the Owner. Minority and women owned business are encouraged to apply.
