Reference Number 0000314084 The scope of work consists of the supply and delivery of railway ballast on a yearly basis for the specified contract period, with the option of four mutually agreed upon one-year extensions. The work is to be performed on an 'as required' basis during the contract term, with the type and quantity of work to be authorized by the Contract Administrator or Users. There is no obligation to purchase any quantity in excess of the City's actual operational requirements. The City reserves the right to alter the type or quantity of work or to terminate the contract with thirty calendar days written notice. Instructions to bidders include the understanding that changes to the contract from negotiations become effective on April 1st of the respective year and must be approved in writing by the Contract Administrator. Extensions to the contract may not be exercised if the City participates in collaborative procurement initiatives with other levels of government.
