The City of Carrollton is soliciting sealed proposals for furnishing labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for the construction of the West White Street Improvements Project. The project consists of repairing and reconstructing West White Street from Rome Street to Winchester Drive. Work will include installation of new 18" - 48" storm sewer piping and drainage structures, new 8" sanitary sewer main piping and manholes, new 6" and 8" water mains, new sanitary sewer and water services, clearing, saw-cutting and demolition of existing road and driveways, milling and overlay of existing road, pavement, curb, and driveway replacement, re-striping and re-signing roadway, traffic control, erosion control (installation, maintenance, and removal), and permanent stabilization. The Contractor is expected to coordinate utility relocations with the City Engineer and Utility Owner(s), maintain access for local traffic, and coordinate all lane/temporary road closures required during construction with the City Engineer. Good communication and coordination with the Project Engineer and City Engineer is required throughout construction. Proposals will be evaluated based on total bid price (50%) and quality of work and references (50%). The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive informalities, technicalities, or irregularities. Bidders must have previous experience with projects of a similar nature and complexity. Bids must be submitted in triplicate, sealed, and delivered to Carrollton City Hall by the specified date and time. Each bid must include a 5% bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 100% of the bid. Contractors must obtain contract documents and be added to the bidders list for their proposal to be considered.
