HARVEY RODGERS SCHOOL (FVHD-5537ER) CONTRACT NO. 2; ROOF REPLACEMENT AT GEORGE BEACH ADMINISTRATION BUILDING (FVHD-5537GR) CONTRACT NO. 3; COMBINED SINGLE OVERALL CONTRACT COMPRISING CONTRACT NO. 1 AND CONTRACT NO. 2 ADMIN BUILDING (FVHD-5537GR): 1. REPLACE ALL ROOFS AREAS 1 AND 2 WITH A 30 YEAR .090” EPDM ROOF SYSTEM. 2. REPLACE ALL EDGE METAL WHICH SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE 30 YEAR ROOF SYSTEM WARRANTY. 3. RAISE ALL UNITS TO 8” ABOVE FINISHED ROOF SYSTEM. 4. REPLACE ALL DOWNSPOUTS AND PROVIDE NEW ENLARGED DRAIN INSERTS. DRAIN INSERT SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE 30 YEAR WARRANTY. 5. PROVIDE NEW PIPE SUPPORTS AT ALL PIPING. 6. RAISE ROOF TO ROOF EXPANSION JOINT AND COVER WITH MANUFACTURERS METAL. THE EXPANSION JOINT SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE 30 YEAR WARRANTY. 7. PROVIDE SAFETY RAILS ANCHORED THROUGH THE ROOF DECK AT UNITS LESS THAN 10’ FROM THE ROOF EDGE. 8. FLASH ALL PENETRATIONS SO THEY ARE INCLUDED IN THE 30 YEAR WARRANTY. 9. PROVIDE WALK PADS AROUND SERVICEABLE UNITS. RODGERS SCHOOL (FVHD-5537ER): 1. REPLACE ROOFS AREAS 4, 5 AND 6 WITH A 30 YEAR .090” EPDM ROOF SYSTEM. 2. RESTORE CHIMNEY BY ALTERNATE BID. 12. PROVIDE NEW SCUPPER BOXES @ ROOF 5. Estimated Budget: RODGERS (FVHD-5537ER) - $795,000 BEACH (FVHD-5537GR) - $235,000 Bids are requested for roof replacement at J. Harvey Rodgers School and George Beach Administration Building, including all incidental work. Bids will be received for three contracts: Roof Replacement at J. Harvey Rodgers School, Roof Replacement at George Beach Administration Building, and a Combined Single Overall Contract comprising both. Bidders must be classified in the required discipline by the time of bid opening. Bid proposals must be submitted in duplicate (one original and one copy) in separate sealed envelopes for each contract, addressed to the Owner, and clearly marked with the contract title and/or bid number. Each proposal must include a bid bond or certified cashier's check payable to the Owner equal to 10% of the bid amount (not to exceed $20,000), and a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the surety company to provide statutory performance and payment bonds if awarded the contract. If the bid exceeds $20,000, bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction in specified classifications before bids are received. All bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and provide a Business Registration Certificate prior to contract award. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The right is reserved to reject all bids and to waive minor informalities as allowed by law. Roofing removal and replacement of roof areas #4, 5 and 6, with .090" thick Single Ply EPDM Roofing Membrane System with a Thirty (30) Year - NDL Warranty and all associated work. b. Provide and install retro-fit roof drains and all associated work, asindicated on the drawings. c. Provide and install pre-finished aluminum metal edge, and fascia extender and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. d. Provide and install roofing expansion joints and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. e. Provide and install new rooftop unit rails, as indicated on the drawings. f. Provide and install area divider(s) and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. g. Remove and replace brick masonry, cavity wall insulation, weep holes to facilitate the installation of stainless steel counterflashing / mechanically keyed through wall flashing at increased roof insulation and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. h. Remove and replace architectural cmu masonry, cavity wall insulation, weep holes to facilitate the installation of stainless steel counterflashing / mechanically keyed through wall flashing at increased roof insulation and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. i. Provide and install through wall pre-finished aluminum scupper, scupper box, pre-finished aluminum downspout and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. j. Provide and install pre-moulded pipe seal at vent pipe and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. k. Provide and install stainless steel rain collar at heat stack pipe penetration and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. l. Provide and install painted galvanized steel guard rail, stack jack flashing and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. m. Provide and pipe supports on walkway pad and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. n. Provide and install area divider(s) and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. o. Raise existing roof hatch(s), mechanical curbs and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. p. Provide and install pitch pocket, pourable sealer and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. q. All other indicated work. 2. George Beach Administration Building, FVHD-5537GR: a. Roofing removal and replacement of roof areas #1 and 2, with .090" thick Single Ply EPDM Roofing Membrane System with a Thirty (30) Year - NDL Warranty and all associated work. b. Provide and install retro-fit roof drains and all associated work, asindicated on the drawings. c. Provide and install pre-finished aluminum metal edge, and fascia extender and all associated work, as indicated on the drawings. d.
