Renovation of a municipal facility in Geneseo, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Written sealed bids are requested for the installation of a District tile line in Section 11 of Yorktown Township, Henry County, Illinois, in the North East Quarter, adjacent to an existing 18" District Tile line. The new line will be an 18" double walled plastic tile with a sock. One end begins at an existing well on the south side of Route 92. An existing 8" line connected to the old main line must be hooked into the new line using an appropriate Y connector. A second small lateral tile must also be connected to the new 18" main. The new tile (approximately 3,200') will run parallel to the old line, following low ground, and terminate at the Main Ditch (South of Route 92) with a 20' section of thick walled PVC pipe with a trap or flap gate. Average trench depth is 3-4', with 10-12' depth at the outlet through the ditch bank. Before construction, the contractor must determine and discuss the slope percentage of the existing line with the commissioners to consider any possible increase. The contractor must use equipment to maintain the correct grade in minimal slope situations. The contractor must pay prevailing wages and comply with the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act. All materials, equipment, supplies, and labor are to be provided by the contractor. Terms of payment are upon completion. The commissioners reserve the right to waive any informality in the bids received and may continue the process as needed.
