As of April 20, 2026, the project was awarded to CGS Construction, with an awarded amount of $172,919.75. The City of Decatur is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the S. McDonough Street Infrastructure Improvements Phase II Project. This project includes roadway, safety, and infrastructure improvements along S. McDonough Street, covering work between Garland Avenue and Lenore Street and improvements at the S. McDonough Street and E/W Davis Street intersection. All work must be completed in accordance with Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and applicable City of Decatur requirements. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked for the project. The successful bidder is required to provide a five percent bid bond, meet Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goals, and furnish all required insurance and contract documents as specified. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities and informalities, and award the contract in the City's best interest.
