In general, the work consists of: renovation of the existing, historic station to house office space that includes offices services, meeting room and breakroom, fire response coordination room, and customer service area. An addition will provide additional offices, mechanical room, mudroom, toilet and shower, and laundry space. A heated drive-thru storage space for fire control vehicles and equipment. Equipment includes two Type 7x engines, one Type 6x engines, and one heavy unit (combination Type 4 engine towing a JD450 or equivalent tractor plow on trailer). The heated storage area will also provide space for woodworking and light vehicle/equipment maintenance. A cold drive-thru storage space will provide storage for seasonal vehicles.
