Gilbane Building Company, acting on behalf of the Board of Education of NorthShore School District 112, is receiving lump sum proposal forms from interested contractors for the fencing scope associated with the renovations of Braeside Elementary School. The renovations of Braeside Elementary School consist of approximately 44,000 square feet of new MEPFP, equipment, and finishes. Work includes installation of a new elevator and shaft. On the exterior, work includes pavement maintenance/replacement, site repairs, and site utility replacements. The existing roof is a combination of steep slope and low-slope roof systems which will be replaced along with all exterior window systems. BP# 10B Fencing. Bidders are required to bid through Procore Bidding. Bid security in the form of a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid is required. Guarantee bonds in the form of a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid will be required from the awarded Bidder. The work is classified as a public work under the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, and all contractors and subcontractors must pay no less than the prevailing rate of wages in the county where the work is performed. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services must comply with all requirements of the Act, including wage, notice, and recordkeeping duties. North Shore School District 112 and Gilbane Building Company reserve the right to reject any or all bids. Bidders who are not pre-qualified in accordance with the advertisement will have their bids returned unopened.
