The scope of work consists of monthly weeding and landscape maintenance services at 14 Park District sites in Highland Park, Illinois. Seven alternate sites are also listed, including the Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA). Services include monthly weeding, edging, cultivating, and mulching for six months. All necessary workmanship to satisfactorily complete the work as required by the contract documents is included. Work will start in April and conclude by the end of September. The contract is awarded annually and may be renewed for an additional two successive one-year terms at the sole option and discretion of the Park District. Bids must include itemized task/operations prices per site for a complete season. The Park District may adjust the contract by adding or deducting sites or tasks, with costs adjusted accordingly, and any additional sites or tasks would be negotiated. All sites must be verified by a site visit and inspection by the bidder before bidding. Contractors must have at least three years of experience in the work or similar. There is no pre-bid meeting and no bid bond required.
