Site work for a water / sewer project in Groveland, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Scope of work will include the removal and disposal of the existing Boat Dock referenced as the Boat Ramp Dock and constructing a new Boat Dock. The new Boat Dock will be 6 wide x 65 long on the right (south) side of the boat ramp (butting up against the seawall) and 6 wide x 65 long leading to an 8 wide x 80 long on the left (north) side of the boat ramp. All existing marine navigation lights will be replaced with U.S. Coast Guard Approved (USCG) low range LED lights visible up to 3 nautical miles with the respective colors (red & green) and protective covers. The existing 120V electrical power will need to be repaired or replaced as needed. All folding mooring cleats will need to be replaced with new galvanized or stainless-steel folding mooring cleats. MATERIAL: All lumber will be DDS #1 Marine treated lumber. The dock frame will consist of 6" x 6" solid piles, 2"x 8" framing, 2"x 8" girders and 2"x 6" x-bracing. All decking will be made of 2"x 6" composite material (composite material color will be chosen by the Public Services Director). All frame fasteners will be hot dipped galvanized. The Contractor will be required to use all manufacturers recommended fasteners to attach all composite decking. PERMITTING: The contractor will be responsible for all required permitting. A stamped engineered design will be required for permitting and the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy. For this Request for Proposal there will be one design option that the vendors will need to provide proposals for (please see the attached Typical Boat Dock Design).
