The scope of work includes the open-cut in-trench replacement of approximately 1,400 linear feet of 30" SRJ P401 ductile iron sanitary sewer interceptor; interceptor cast-in-place concrete encasement; manhole relocation, replacement and abandonment; installation of manhole vault with orifice plate; select manhole lining; cleaning and closed circuit televising (CCTV); connection to existing facilities; and all required restoration. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all General Construction in accordance with the Contract Documents. Any technical questions regarding the bid documents are to be directed to LSSE. Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates apply. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Center Township Sanitary Authority. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Center Township Sanitary Authority to guarantee the bidder's entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. The Center Township Sanitary Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. The Center Township Sanitary Authority shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the Center Township Sanitary Authority may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the Center Township Sanitary Authority has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies.
