Renovation of a mixed-use development in Santa Rosa, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and educational facility.
The project consists of the following: replacing five existing drinking fountains (two interior, three exterior) with new accessible H/L dual fountains with integrated bottle fillers; relocating restroom accessories and plumbing fixtures to meet accessibility clearance requirements; playground upgrades including replacement of basketball hoops and backboards; removal and replacement of the west play structure for TK along with the sandbox, installation of a new play structure with flush curb, pour in place safety surfacing, enhanced landscaping, new retaining wall, and ADA ramp improvements; replacement of the HVAC unit at the Room 17 Portable Building; electrical improvements including new lighting for egress or associated with other scope; replacement of composition shingle roofing on Building A2 with additional attic insulation; removal and replacement of sheet metal cap flashing with new standing seam clip and concealed wind clips; replacement of existing damaged fence in the northwest quadrant with new 6' high black vinyl clad chain link fencing and an ADA compliant gate; replacement of select fire alarm devices and installation of new ones, replacement of classroom smoke detectors with new smoke/CO detectors; fire riser repair and replacement of select riser equipment; and completion of the campus fire loop and addition of two new fire hydrants, new post indicator valve, and backflow preventers, including associated retaining wall and fence work. Interested subcontractors must submit bids by the specified deadline. Bids will be awarded based on best value criteria as permitted by law. Subcontractors’ licenses must be active and in good standing, and all registration, qualification, skilled workforce, and apprenticeship requirements outlined in California law must be met. All MEP and steel subcontractors must be prequalified. Contract documents are available for review by contacting GCCI, Inc.
