Asphalt Concrete; Miscellaneous In-Place Project(s) Sealed bids are requested for the title "Asphalt Concrete; Miscellaneous In-Place Project(s)." Bid documents are available at the specified location or on the county website. Interested parties are responsible for acquiring all bid information and forms. Bids must be submitted on the appropriate county forms and delivered in a sealed, opaque envelope. Bids will be received at the Purchasing Department until the specified deadline, at which time they will be opened and read publicly. All questions must be submitted in writing to AMorse@SteubenCountyNY.gov by February 12, 2026. HOT MIX ASPHALT OVERLAY - Roll the surface when the mixture is in the proper condition and when the rolling does not cause displacement, cracking or shoving as determined by the County Engineer. Initially roll all courses with the roller traveling parallel to the centerline of the pavement beginning at each edge and working toward the center. Roll the banked curves starting at the low side edge and working toward the super-elevated edge . Remove and replace with fresh HMA mixture any mixture that becomes loose and broken, mixed with dirt, or is in any way defective. Compact the mixture to conform with the surrounding area. Correct any area showing an excess or deficiency of HMA material.
