The UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS DARTMOUTH, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the SENG Building Concrete Floor Refinishing at Academic Buildings in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The Project consists of but not limited to: Phased refinishing existing concrete floors in all corridors and related work The Project consists of, but not limited to, the following scope of work: 1. Demolition of existing carpeting and resilient finishes. 2. Remove and replace fin-tube covers to allow grinding operations. 3. Grinding and sanding of existing exposed aggregate concrete slabs, stair treads, landings and elevated surfaces. 4. Crack repair and patching of existing concrete surfaces. 5. Application of liquid flooring products. 6. Protection of all surfaces and guarding against dust migration during grinding and sanding operations. 7. Temporary walls, signage for egress control and sequencing of the work. 8. Cleaning of entire building to the specified industry standard AAPA level 2. 9. Replace filters at existing HVAC equipment. Construct Work in phases during the construction period: 1. Phase 1 (South): 5/25/26 to 6/12/26. 2. Phase 2 (Center): 615/26 to 7/24/26. 3. Phase 3 (North): 7/27/26 to 8/28/26 Each general bid proposal submitted must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of the total bid amount in the form of a bid bond or certified or treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of either or both Mass G.L., Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended and Mass G.L. Chapter 149, Section 44A-44J inclusive. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Mass G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D inclusive. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any and all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
