The work involves resurfacing approximately four bridges with various widths from 15 to 20 feet wide using about 3 inches of asphalt concrete 448 types 1 and 2, including tack coat, on various bridges and spot paving in Van Wert County, Ohio, according to specification documents. The contract will be awarded on a unit price basis for an estimated 200 tons of asphalt concrete 448 type 1, 200 tons of asphalt concrete 448 type 2, and tack coat as required within the specifications, to be hauled, placed, and rolled by the contractor. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to ten percent of the total bid, or a combination bid/performance bond for one hundred percent of the total bid. Upon contract award, a performance bond for one hundred percent of the contract is required if a check or letter of credit is used as a bid bond. The commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
