The work includes the installation of flood protections around County of Solano property for water intrusion from adjacent city roadways at 550/600 Union Ave, Fairfield, CA. The specific scope covered is fencing and gates. Bidders must furnish all labor, materials, coordination, transportation, and services necessary for the completion of this work. Bids must be prepared in accordance with the bid documents, construction drawings, specifications, and additional FEMA requirements as included in the Supplementary Conditions. Each bid must include an electronic certified Bid Bond (with a wet notarized copy to follow) or a certified check for 10% of the bid amount, a complete listing of all subcontractors, and a completed, notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit. All proposals must utilize provided Solano County forms. Bidders must possess a current and appropriate California Contractor's License and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. A 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond and a 100% Performance Bond are required from the successful bidder within five days of Notice to Proceed. Bids must remain valid for 90 days from the bid opening. Wage rates and labor conditions must comply with California Labor Code for public contracts. The County reserves the right to reject all bids or waive informalities and make selection based on lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder. The Project site is approximately bordered by Texas Street on the north, Clay Street on the west, Delaware Street on the south and Union Ave on the east. This Project has been funded with a grant from OES/FEMA and is being bid in a multi-prime manner by the County. The specific scope of this bid is fencing and gates. This scope is further defined in section 01 11 00.
