The project consists of the exterior restoration of an existing Town Hall building registered with the Local Historic District. The scope includes demolition of the existing concrete ramp, stair, and guard & handrail system; exterior siding and trim repair; preparation for new painting; construction of a new concrete ramp and stair; installation of a new guard and handrail system; and painting of the entire exterior façade. There are alternates for HVAC and granite step repair. The scope of work, without limiting the generality thereof, includes all labor, materials, equipment and services required to perform the work described fully in the Drawings and Specifications and includes, but is not limited to the following major work: 1. Construction of an exterior restoration including, but not limited to: a. Exterior faÁade, ramp and stair demolition. b. Exterior faÁade prep work and repair. c. Exterior faÁade repainting includes new guard and handrail systems. d. Concrete ramp and stair foundation work. e. Carpentry, drip flashing, caulking. f. New metal guard and handrail systems. The Work will be conducted in the following sequence of demolition/construction: 1. Ramp and rail demolition and exterior faÁade prep work. 2. New ramp and rail installation and exterior faced repainting Sealed filed sub-bids for Painting, HVAC, and Electrical must be received by the specified deadline. Filed Sub-Bidders must be DCAMM Certified in their respective trade. General Bid submissions must be submitted with a certified check or bid bond for 5% of the total price proposal. Payment and Performance Bonds are required if the contract price exceeds $150,000. The Bidder must be DCAMM Certified in General Building Construction. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive informalities in the bidding procedures, or accept the proposal deemed in the Town's best interest.
