The work includes installation of flood protections around county property for water intrusion from adjacent city roadways at 550/600 Union Ave, Fairfield, CA. The specific scope for this bid is concrete work. Bids must comply with all bid documents, construction drawings, and specifications. Contractors are to furnish all labor, materials, coordination, transportation, and services necessary for completion. Bidders must have a current California Contractor’s License with the required classification at the time of bid submission. A 10% bid bond or certified check is required. Within five calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, the successful bidder must furnish Labor and Materials Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract. All bids must use the provided county forms, and bidders must review all requirements carefully. Compliance with California Labor Code and registration with the Department of Industrial Relations is mandatory for contractors and subcontractors. The County will select the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder meeting the minimum qualifications. The County reserves the right to reject all bids or cancel the solicitation at its discretion. Bids must be submitted digitally and must include an electronic certified Bid Bond (with a wet notarized copy within 7 days), a complete subcontractor list with the prime contractor’s signature, and a completed, notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit. Bids shall remain valid for 90 days from the opening. Bids may not be modified after the deadline but may be withdrawn and resubmitted before the opening time. Bids with exceptions or qualifications on technical specifications may be disregarded. The successful bidder must also maintain all required insurance for the duration of the work and warranty period.
