Sealed bids are requested for the installation of approximately 190 tons of HMA pavement, six storm manhole structures, approximately 100 linear feet of storm sewer, removals of pavement, concrete and storm sewer, and other related appurtenances, clean-up, services, work, and materials. All proposals shall include a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the contract amount. Bidders must register as plan holders to be informed of addenda, and failure to register may result in rejection of the bid. Contractors and subcontractors are required to be pre-qualified prior to commencement of construction. The successful bidder must enter into contract and provide proof of Workers Compensation and Public Liability insurances. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project name and the company name. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days from the bid opening. The City of Petoskey reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to award to the bidder whose bid best serves the interest of the City.
