The work shall consist of furnishing Aggregate Materials for various highway projects within Rock County. Bids must be submitted to the Rock County Public Works Department by the specified deadline. Bids received after the deadline will be rejected. Bids must remain effective for 60 days from the due date. Bids are to be addressed to the Director of Public Works and the sealed envelope must be marked accordingly. Rock County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any technicality or error in any bid or part thereof, and to accept bids in whole or in part, whichever is deemed in the best interest of Rock County. Contracts are awarded to the lowest, most qualified, responsible, and responsive bidder based on the base bid and consideration of any or all alternatives. In determining the award, considerations include the scope of the work involved, timeliness of delivery, competency of bidder, ability to render satisfactory service, and past performance. If two or more bidders submit identical bids, Rock County may award to a bidder of its choice and such decision shall be final.
