Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Lamont, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,826-square-foot clubhouse / community center; and clubhouse / community center.
The scope of work consists of approximately 4,826 square feet of roof replacement/upgrades, including reference to County approved drawings under permit number K23-6462 for demolition and roof replacement plans. HVAC upgrades involve removing existing units, adapting the roof curbs, and installing four new dual-fueled 5-ton units, new duct runs, supply and return air grills, and new exhaust fans. Limited interior improvements include removal of the existing ceiling and installation of a new T-bar ceiling system, and Title 24 compliant lighting, with reference to County approved architectural plans. All work is to be completed within eighty working days from the commencement of contract time if all scopes are executed. Interested bidders are required to purchase plans, specifications and bid proposal forms from Blueprint Services Co., Inc. Bidders must contact the specified individual to verify receipt of all addenda, as proposals without signed cover sheets for all addenda may be rejected. Sealed bids must be submitted before the deadline at the specified location, with instructions detailing in-person and mail submission. Bidders must arrive at least ten minutes prior to the deadline for a time stamp, with late bids returned unopened. Bidders are responsible for their own bid preparation costs. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-bid, or waive inconsequential defects in bidding. A California "B" contractor's license is required, and joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award. The successful bidder may substitute securities for retention monies. The contractor must pay not less than prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations, with this project also subject to certain federal funding requirements, including the Davis-Bacon Act, the Copeland Act, Equal Employment Opportunity, the Contract Works Hours and Safety Standards Act, and Small Business Affirmative Action Plan. Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act applies, requiring certain employment and economic opportunities be directed to low- and very low-income persons and business concerns.
