The project is for the Kennedy Heights Drainage Improvements Project for the City of Gonzales. The proposed project will implement improvements to the Kennedy Heights stormwater system by upgrading culverts and regrading the roadside ditches along S John Avenue, S Robert Avenue, S Edward Avenue, and W Jacqueline Street. Instructions to bidders include: Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's name, address, state license number, and project name. If mailed, the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the City of Gonzales and received by the bid opening time. Electronic bids must be submitted through the specified online site and must include the Uniform Bid Form, Bid Bond, and Corporate Resolution. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany each bid. Contractors must hold a State License in Highway Street and Bridge Construction. Additional required documents as identified in the contract documents must be submitted within 10 days after bid opening. It is the responsibility of the bidder to check for updates and all questions must be routed through the Project Manager and Project Engineer. Special accommodations for persons with disabilities must be requested at least seven days before the bid opening. All submitted questions will be forwarded by email to the Project Manager and the Project Engineer for a response.
