FY2024-2025 Purchase and Install Isolation Valve in Public Drinking Water System, Parish of Ascension, Louisiana. Materials & labor for the installation of valves installed in some key locations to be able to isolate the drinking water system in small, controlled loops instead of needing to shut down large areas of the system to repair leaks or damages. o 4";4.35" - 5.28" O.D. - Hydra-Stop Insta-Valve- Valve on PVC, D.I., C.I. or AC pipe. Each valve takes approximately four hours to install once the pipe is excavated, cleaned and made ready for work o 6"; 6.48"-7.45 O.D.-Hydra- Stop Insta-Valve- Valve on PVC, D.I., C.I. or AC pipe. It is the contractor's responsibility to provide concrete and labor to install the concrete block. o Work is considered complete upon successful pressure test and insertion valve/line stop completion. The contractor is responsible for problems that may occur from backfill, pipe support, pipe failure etc. AC pipes are particularly at risk of pipe failure regardless of or precautions taken by contractors. o Design of valve/ line stop fitting support and thrust blocks are the responsibility of the contractor.
