Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Phenix City, Alabama. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a water / sewer project; and municipal facility.
The City of Phenix City, Alabama will accept individual bids by licensed Phenix City contractors to demolish nine specified structures. Bids must include dumping fees and be submitted for each property individually. If a bid exceeds $10,000.00, a 5% bond or cashier's check must accompany the bid. All sewer lines must be capped before being covered, and all utility connections must be disconnected and secured. All debris from the demolition must be removed and disposed of properly. The lot must be graded to prevent standing water, and permanent grassing specifications must be followed, including specific seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and liming rates depending on the season. All work must be completed within sixty days of the bid being let, with payment made in full only after final inspection. Work must comply with Federal, State, and International Building Code, 2021 Edition, Section 3303. Bidders should not include tax in their bid price. The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all offers as deemed most advantageous to the City. Bids, with applicable cashier's check or bond if over $10,000.00, must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Purchasing Agent in the Finance Department.
